As someone who is drawn to the often buried, inner realm of the human mind, I wanted to be a writer and a psychologist. My parents bought me a telescope at the age of twelve and for awhile I entertained the idea of becoming an astronomer. For as long as I can remember I felt a deep connection to the cosmos and loved to stare into a bright night sky. I spent countless hours wondering about the mysteries of our universe. But the call to help people and express myself was stronger than my desire to study the science of our stars and planets. So I went to college, majored in psychology and minored in English. It wasn’t until I was twenty eight years old, that I found astrology. Or should I say, astrology found me. I studied voraciously and achieved certification through the Astrological Institute of Integrated Studies (AIIS). Initially, I thought this would be my hobby. I soon realized it was so much more - it was my calling in life. As it turns out, becoming an astrologer has enabled me to blend my aspirations as both a writer and a psychologist into one rather unique profession. After five years as a professional counseling Astrologer, I feel blessed to have my work touch the lives of so many. I'm honored to serve as the Vice President for the Long Island New York chapter of the National Council for Geocosmic Research (NCGR), one of the leading professional astrology organizations. I've pioneered The Insightful Astrology online and teleconference school where I've had the great pleasure to teach hundreds of students how to read and speak the amazing language of astrology. I've also hosted my own astrology radio show through GlobalTalk Radio. I publish my own newsletter and subscription service through my web site, which has drawn much acclaim for the simple fact that I write with honest, raw emotion. I share my world with my readers openly and use private stories to bring the astrology to life. My first book, Grow Into Your Soul: An Astrological Guide, is a work I hope to have available by late 2009. My professional practice is geared towards teaching clients how astrology can empower their life. Through interpreting the unique blueprint of one’s soul, I hope to assist others towards manifesting their greatest positive qualities and potential, while also addressing some of the deeper psychological obstacles that might currently prevent soul growth. My clients come from all corners of our planet. I value everyone’s story and I’m honored to be chosen to help edit the new chapters they write in their spectacular lives! In addition to my background in astrology, I hold a B. A. in psychology and have had varied counseling and teaching experience. This enables me to blend astrological insights in a humanistic and practical manner - addressing real life concerns, while also encouraging clients to embrace the more metaphysical teachings of astrology. |
